Couplings

Couplings - Jaw Type - With Polyurethane Spider Couplings - Jaw Type - With Polyurethane Spider (Relevance 1/10)

Miniature aluminium curved jaw flexible couplings. 2 to 160 Nm.
Discs (either red as standard with blue or white optional) are available to purchase separately. Flexible couplings transmit torque and rotational angle while absorbing misalignment. When the misalignment exceeds allowable values, vibration may result or the life of the coupling may become shortened. Zero backlash in low torque application, made capable by having the hubs pressed in a spacer. Can be used as a flexible coupling in a high torque application.

Fasteners

Inserts - Expansion Inserts - Expansion (Relevance 1/10)
Material : Brass. Easiest inserts to install - simply push into a pre-moulded hole. Used with plastics or other materials. Material must be strong enough to withstand the expansion of the insert. The insertion of the screw locks the external knurls into the wall of the hole. Provides excellent thread durability but where maximum strength is required other inserts shown in this catalogue should be preferred.
Nuts - Well Nuts - Well (Relevance 1/10)
Flanged neoprene bushing with a brass machine nut moulded into one end. Tightening a conventional machine screw threaded in a brass nut causes the insert to expand, making a secure fastening. 1. Place the Well Nut® insert all the way into a pre-drilled hole until the flange is firmly against the mounting surface. 2. Pass machine screw through part to be fastened and tighten until snug.
Pins - Hammer Drive - Flat Head Pins - Hammer Drive - Flat Head (Relevance 1/10)

Used to replace screws where the need to remove the pin is unlikely.
Low Carbon Steel (Series HP210) - self-colour, not plated cold formed pin. Simple, low cost assembly for use in mild steel, aluminium, brass or plastics. Secure - unlike a machine screw, a drive stud does not depend on tightening torque to be retained in the assembly. Drive studs do not require lock washers to prevent back-out. Designed for standard metric hole sizes and installation by hammer or press. Cold formed pins with helical knurls.
Pins - Hammer Drive - Round Head Pins - Hammer Drive - Round Head (Relevance 1/10)

Used to replace screws where the need to remove the pin is unlikely.
Low Carbon Steel (Series HP210) - self-colour, not plated cold formed pin. Simple, low cost assembly for use in mild steel, aluminium, brass or plastics.
