PEEK is a super-engineering thermoplastic used for its special physical and chemical characteristics. Excellent resistance to chemicals, water, abrasion, shock, fatigue, radiation, heat, etc. PEEK is registered trademark of Vitre™.
Excellent chemical resistance, impenetrable by most chemicals with the exception of concentrated sulphuric acid. Excellent thermal and water resistance; maintains high heat-resistance strength. Excellent abrasion, shock and fatigue resistance. Excellent radiation resistance and electrical properties. Heat-resistant temperature: 180 Degrees Celcius (UL approved temperature). Excellent flame-resistance cleared by UL standard 94V-0. Useful for hot-water pumps, chemical pumps, chemical-resistant applications such as FPD (Flat Panel Display) and semiconductor production equipment/devices, printed circuit board etching devices, metal plating equipment and chemical plants. Use with a nut to compensate for thread moulding pitch errors. When a nut is not used, it is recommended that the overlap of mating screw threads be shorter than 20mm. Inserts - Expansion (Relevance 1/10)
Material : Brass. Easiest inserts to install - simply push into a pre-moulded hole. Used with plastics or other materials. Material must be strong enough to withstand the expansion of the insert. The insertion of the screw locks the external knurls into the wall of the hole. Provides excellent thread durability but where maximum strength is required other inserts shown in this catalogue should be preferred.

Nuts - Aerotight (Relevance 1/10)
Aerotight is a Registered Trademark and can only be applied to goods manufactured by the Premier Screw and Repetition Company Limited. Any company infringing the registered trade mark may be liable to legal proceedings. Aerotight nuts should not be used on damaged or interrupted threads. When assembled on the screw at least two threads should protrude through the Aerotight nut. Advantages: Will not work loose. No other locking device needed.

Nuts - Hexagonal - Brass (Relevance 1/10)
UNC - UNF - BA - METRIC.
Note! Thickness (H) and A/F (A) dimensions are usually considered not critical and may vary. If the A and H dimensions are critical for your application please consult us prior to ordering. Nuts marked as type SCALE have the same dimension across flats as the brass hex head screw of the same thread size.
|
Nuts - Quick Release (Relevance 1/10)
Carbon steel, black oxide finish. Button Thread® nuts allow quick fixturing on long thread lengths. Simply press the button and the threads are disengaged to allow easy movement up or down the screw. Release the button and the threads engage for normal turning.
|
Nuts - Well (Relevance 1/10)
Flanged neoprene bushing with a brass machine nut moulded into one end. Tightening a conventional machine screw threaded in a brass nut causes the insert to expand, making a secure fastening. 1. Place the Well Nut® insert all the way into a pre-drilled hole until the flange is firmly against the mounting surface. 2. Pass machine screw through part to be fastened and tighten until snug.

Pins - Hammer Drive - Flat Head (Relevance 1/10)
Used to replace screws where the need to remove the pin is unlikely.
Low Carbon Steel (Series HP210) - self-colour, not plated cold formed pin. Simple, low cost assembly for use in mild steel, aluminium, brass or plastics. Secure - unlike a machine screw, a drive stud does not depend on tightening torque to be retained in the assembly. Drive studs do not require lock washers to prevent back-out. Designed for standard metric hole sizes and installation by hammer or press. Cold formed pins with helical knurls.
|
Pins - Hammer Drive - Round Head (Relevance 1/10)
Used to replace screws where the need to remove the pin is unlikely.

Gearmotors | |
Gearmotors - Basic - Hobby - 12.1mm Diameter (Relevance 1/10)
Small light weight geared motors used in toys and small solar applications
NOTE! These gearmotors do not have a standard output shaft. The output is a plastic crossed block (see diagram) which is designed to be fitted to a fabricated coupling in O.E.M applications. However, the plastic block would be suitable for drilling and attaching objects with wire for rotating mobile type applications.
