Inserts - Expansion (Relevance 1/10)
Material : Brass. Easiest inserts to install - simply push into a pre-moulded hole. Used with plastics or other materials. Material must be strong enough to withstand the expansion of the insert. The insertion of the screw locks the external knurls into the wall of the hole. Provides excellent thread durability but where maximum strength is required other inserts shown in this catalogue should be preferred.

Stainless Steel 303. Maximum strength and reliability. Positive mechanical lock against rotation:. The insert kees are driven down into the tapped threads of the parent material during installation to securely lock the insert against rotation. Inserts with internal thread lock are designed to securely lock a bolt when it is entered into the insert only a few turns.

Nuts - Hexagonal - Binx (Relevance 1/10)
Manufactured from A2 302/304 grade stainless steel. The standard Binx's entire locking action is contained within the nut body which is no thicker than a standard full nut. The ingenious design incorporates two opposing cantilever type springs which lock onto the bolt with inward and downward pressure. May be removed and placed repeatedly with minimum thread wear.

Pins - Hammer Drive - Flat Head (Relevance 1/10)
Used to replace screws where the need to remove the pin is unlikely.
Low Carbon Steel (Series HP210) - self-colour, not plated cold formed pin. Simple, low cost assembly for use in mild steel, aluminium, brass or plastics. Secure - unlike a machine screw, a drive stud does not depend on tightening torque to be retained in the assembly. Drive studs do not require lock washers to prevent back-out. Designed for standard metric hole sizes and installation by hammer or press. Cold formed pins with helical knurls.

Levers - Control Handles - Flat (Relevance 1/10)
Steel Parts: Quality class 5.8. Ball Knob: Black duroplastic FS31 / Surface Finish: Black oxide. Can be used for simpler clamping applications and switching operations. If necessary there must be enough space to turn the handle through an angle of 360°. The star drive hole model is designed to allow turning in steps of 45°.

Self lubricating - Replaces oilite or plastic bearings.
SLIP FIT: Housing bore should be OD +0.050/+0.075 - lock in place with retaining compound or epoxy. PRESS FIT: Housing bore should be OD -0.000/+0.010. Use freezing method for press fit assembly - freeze bearing to -18 Deg C for 30 minutes. Body: Aluminium. Lining: Frelon.
