Simple effective way to lock components onto shafts.
Passivated 416 Stainless Steel Simple two part screw together system locks parts securely to shaft. Asymetric thread geometry produces a large radial clamping force when the nut is tightened Precision, dynamically balanced and suitable for high speed applications. Diameters A and B concentric within 0.013 T.I.R. Tightening the nut causes slotted sleeve to contract, gripping the shaft and clamping the component to the sleeve.

Couplings - Jaw Type - With Polyurethane Spider (Relevance 1/10)
Miniature aluminium curved jaw flexible couplings. 2 to 160 Nm.
Discs (either red as standard with blue or white optional) are available to purchase separately. Flexible couplings transmit torque and rotational angle while absorbing misalignment. When the misalignment exceeds allowable values, vibration may result or the life of the coupling may become shortened. Zero backlash in low torque application, made capable by having the hubs pressed in a spacer. Can be used as a flexible coupling in a high torque application.

Inserts - Expansion (Relevance 1/10)
Material : Brass. Easiest inserts to install - simply push into a pre-moulded hole. Used with plastics or other materials. Material must be strong enough to withstand the expansion of the insert. The insertion of the screw locks the external knurls into the wall of the hole. Provides excellent thread durability but where maximum strength is required other inserts shown in this catalogue should be preferred.

Nuts - Aerotight (Relevance 1/10)
Aerotight is a Registered Trademark and can only be applied to goods manufactured by the Premier Screw and Repetition Company Limited. Any company infringing the registered trade mark may be liable to legal proceedings. Aerotight nuts should not be used on damaged or interrupted threads. When assembled on the screw at least two threads should protrude through the Aerotight nut. Advantages: Will not work loose. No other locking device needed.
