Glossary - ISO Precision

In relation to bearings, ISO Precision is a system of tolerances set by ISO comparable to the ABEC precision system.

The ISO sytem is not directly interchangable with ABEC, but the scales are fairly close.

The following are general approximations of ISO versus ABEC precision. Tables should be consulted for the exact values.

• Abec 1 : ISO P0 (Standard Precision Grade)
• Abec 3 : ISO P6
• Abec 5 : ISO P5
• Abec 7 : ISO P4
• Abec 9 : ISO P2
